Major Steps Of Building A Website

So, you have decided that you want to create a website but you are not quite sure how to do it. Well, there are some major steps that you need to follow if you want to get it done correctly. The good news is, it is not as difficult as you may think.

First you need to determine exactly what the website’s purpose or goal is. You need to decide what type of information you want to present and who it is targeted towards. If you gonna have a personal website, your target audience is probably just family and friends. On the other hand, you may be creating a website for your international business, in which case you will have to provide information that is universal to people of many different cultures and beliefs. If your goal is to make money out of your site, you should also think about the business model. There are many ways you can do that.

Once you have determined the goal and function of your website, you will need to decide what types of features you are going to include on the website. For example, a website for a company that sells different types of products could have an online catalogue and a shopping cart feature so that customers can make orders online. A members only website will have to have a password protected area and an area to give potential new customers an idea of what the site is all about. A personal site should have photo albums component and maybe a chat too. You can always add components to your site but it is better it would be more efficient to think about it from the right beginning.

Once you have the features and content of your site figured out, you will need to map it out. A great way to do this so that you can get a feel for how it is going to work is to draw out a rough sketch of each page or type of page that you are going to have. Be sure to include navigation buttons so that visitors can get around the website easily.

Now you will need to sit down and write or have someone else write the actual information that is going to be displayed on your website. This is very important part.  You have to make sure, before building your site that it fits well and flows nicely. You also need to decide on the appearance of your site, such as the graphics, headers, navigation menu and other components. If you are not great at being original, you can also purchase a website template to use.

Now the fun part, you can actually start building your website. You can write it completely on your own, or use a website builder. Many programs to help you build a website are available for free on the internet. Be sure to take your time, and if you run into problems do not worry. Someone has done the same thing before and chances are a quick search online will help you find tutorials that can guide you along the way.

Once you have completed building your website, you are going to want to test things out. Be sure that the content and images fit together in all popular browsers. You also wanna make sure that pages load quickly. It is also a great idea to have a friend or family member try it out as well so that you can get a different perspective on how well it works.

Now that you have a complete and working website, you can finally put it out on the internet. Before you do this though, you are going to have to purchase and register a domain name, find a hosting company for your website and then finally upload it to the host server and configure things so that the website works properly.

Next Step

Determine what is the best way to DESIGN your website. Several options are available.

another tips is when you know what content you want in your website. The best is you draw down the cart of the architecture which from your website to your lot of landing page and what website that they able to link to. It will help you a lot to create a website so it wont mix up all or miss out anything behind. Because it take time to change the design which will cause your website on net will temporary under constructions or maintainable. This will cause you lost lot of traffic.
